If you're like me, your game experience is almost entirely dependent on your computer's performance. This patch fixes the crack that is present in the 1.5 patch for Sleeping Dogs, and it will make sure that your computer doesn't grind to a halt like mine did when I tried to play this game later than my agreed upon date with friends. If you're looking for any other Sleeping Dogs patches, they should be available here as easily as clicking a button. The patch is a huge step in improving my gaming experience and I'm glad I've been given the opportunity to share this one with everyone else who might have had similar problems as me. Anyways, here's the patch for this game that fixes the crack that was present in the previous update for this game which is version 1.6. It is now available for download at this link. The reason why I'm using the word "so far" is that it's actually not that easy to download the patch for this game. You have to go to the following site, find the game there, and realize that at least one of the downloads will be an update file (for Sleeping Dogs 1.7) and will require you to sign up for another account (to make sure you don't get banned) but personally I think it's worth it. The crack that was provided by Ubisoft can run into problems later in the game where the computer completely crashes and requires a reinstall to fix it. This patch fixes this issue by temporarily re-installing an older version of the game from your hard drive to your video card's main memory is what I believe it's called. This is a temporary solution for a problem that comes up with Resident Evil 6 but is still worth keeping in mind if you do run into any issues with Sleeping Dogs. The second issue I encountered is that the mouse pointer on the screen is not caused by this game but leads me to believe it's a problem with my video card. I have provided a link to some other patch files so you can see if this is something you are experiencing as well.
